The Learning Center also offers developmental services for adults with disabilities. A primary goal of this program is to teach these adults functional life skills needed for personal independence in caring for themselves and their environment and in accessing the community. These skills include cooking, laundering, personal care, socialization, leisure activities, and general knowledge of how to communicate their needs and wants. Community-based integration is another vital part of these services. The knowledge of each individual’s personal environment and how to participate and interact within that environment is a primary goal of this program.
The organization provides non-medical transportation services within the Jonesboro community and outside the Jonesboro City Limits as per fixed routes determined by the Transportation Supervisor and the Director of Services.
Meals are provided to all individuals enrolled in our program for over 4 hours per day.
We provide services to eligible developmentally disabled individuals through Medicaid, State Funds, Title XX Funds, and donations. Families and participants do not pay for our services.
