Kristen graduated from Ouachita Baptist University with a Bachelors’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders in May 2007. She enjoys working with children autism as well as children with feeding difficulties. Kristen likes using augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), specifically LAMP/Words for Life, and also incorporates a lot of sensory play to encourage communication. Kristen loves to see language come alive in a child. She believes seeing children play, make eye contact, and enjoy another person’s company, sometimes for the first time, is very fulfilling. Kristen is a member of Journey Church where she serves on the Women’s Ministry team. She believes God has given her a unique connection and love for children at The Learning Center, as well as a desire to see them grow and learn.
